Discrepancies can arise due to differing levels of information, biases, or simply the dynamics of supply and demand within the prediction market. It's common to see this market adjust rapidly to new information, potentially exceeding the speed of sportsbook adjustments.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous trading mechanism where shares representing each possible exact score are bought and sold. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The market’s price is determined entirely by supply and demand from traders speculating on the match result, and isn’t influenced by external factors or pre-defined algorithms.

Furthermore, pre-match analysis from football experts and any late-breaking team news could impact trading activity. A strong performance by either team in their preceding matches might also lead to increased confidence and a corresponding shift in the market.
