PredictionHero - Resolution Divergence Alerts (RDA)

Divergence Detected

Issue: Kalshi's market defines a 'Yes' outcome for either team winning, lacking a clear 'No' outcome, while Polymarket explicitly defines outcomes for both teams.Hero tip: Focus on Polymarket for clearer resolution logic. Avoid Kalshi due to ambiguity in defining a losing outcome.

Critical divergence points:

  • Polymarket: Resolves to the winning team (Hapoel Tel Aviv or Barcelona) with a no-result provision for cancellation or abandonment. "If the Hapoel Tel Aviv win, the market will resolve to "Hapoel Tel Aviv". If the Barcelona win, the market will resolve to "Barcelona".
  • Kalshi: Resolves to 'Yes' if either Hapoel Tel-Aviv or FC Barcelona wins. "If Hapoel Tel-Aviv wins...then the market resolves to Yes. If FC Barcelona wins...then the market resolves to Yes."
Our PredictionHero Resolution Divergence Alerts (RDA) are there to help users identify potential differences across platforms. They do not replace or supersede the official rules and description of any prediction market. Users are solely responsible for reviewing and understanding the applicable rules and resolution criteria before placing any trade or bet. If you notice a potential inconsistency, discrepancy, or error in an alert, please report it to our team so we can review and improve the accuracy of our data.

Frequently asked questions

Prediction market odds, like those found for this market, often reflect the wisdom of the crowd, potentially offering a different perspective than traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks set odds based on their own models and aim to profit, while prediction markets allow traders to freely express their beliefs. This can lead to discrepancies, especially when public sentiment diverges from expert opinion. While sportsbooks may initially set odds based on team rankings, this market incorporates real-time information and evolving opinions as traders buy and sell contracts. It’s useful to compare both to gain a comprehensive view.

Prices for this market on Polymarket and Kalshi can diverge due to several factors. Polymarket and Kalshi can show different implied probabilities for the same outcome because of liquidity, fee structure, participant mix, and how each venue defines the contract. Each platform has its own user base, trading fees, and liquidity, which can influence price discovery. Differences in the types of traders participating – for example, more sophisticated or casual bettors on each venue – can also lead to varying probabilities. Furthermore, the volume traded on each platform impacts price sensitivity; a larger volume on Polymarket might result in a more stable and accurate price compared to Kalshi with lower volume. These factors contribute to the observed price discrepancies.

This market resolves around Nov 5, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The result of the Hapoel Tel Aviv vs. Barcelona match will be used to determine the winning outcome. The final score and official results from recognized sports authorities will serve as the basis for verification. Traders will be able to see the finalized outcome and settlement details on both Polymarket and Kalshi following the event's completion and official confirmation.

Several signals or events could significantly move this market before Nov 5, 2026. Any news regarding injuries to key players on either Hapoel Tel Aviv or Barcelona would likely impact the odds. Changes in team form, tactical adjustments, or even weather conditions could also influence trader sentiment. Unexpected announcements about player availability or coaching changes could create volatility. Major shifts in public opinion, perhaps driven by media coverage or social media trends, could also contribute to price movements in this market.
