Typically, prediction market odds offer a distinct perspective compared to traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks incorporate a 'vig' or commission into their odds, ensuring profit regardless of the outcome, while prediction markets aim to reflect the true probability of an event as determined by traders. This often results in prediction market prices being more efficient and potentially offering better value, especially as the event approaches and more information becomes available. However, sportsbook odds can be useful for gauging public perception and identifying potential discrepancies with this market.
