On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism. Traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in the likelihood of each outcome. As more shares are traded, the price of those shares adjusts, reflecting the collective assessment of the market participants. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price of a 'yes' share, for example, indicates the probability that Haiseniuk will win, while the price of a 'no' share reflects the probability of Kovalchuk winning. The closer the event gets, the more volatile the price movements may become as new information becomes available.
This market resolves around Oct 22, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The resolution will be based on the official result of the Haiseniuk vs. Kovalchuk match, as reported by the governing sports organization. The platform will verify the result against publicly available information to determine which outcome is the winner. Traders who correctly predicted the outcome will be paid out according to the final share price at the time of resolution.
Several signals could significantly move this market. Any news regarding player injuries, changes in coaching strategies, or even weather conditions impacting the match could influence trader sentiment. Unexpected announcements about player form or fitness levels would likely cause price fluctuations. Public opinion, as reflected in polls or expert analyses, could also play a role, though the market's price is ultimately determined by trading activity on Polymarket. Major upsets in related matches or tournaments might also indirectly affect the probabilities assigned to each player.
