Often, prediction market odds reflect a different set of information and incentives than traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks typically set lines to balance action and incorporate a profit margin, while this market aggregates the collective wisdom of traders. Consequently, you may observe discrepancies between the two. However, both aim to predict the same underlying probabilities. If a significant difference exists, it could indicate that prediction market traders believe they have identified an edge or possess information not yet fully reflected in sportsbook lines.
