Often, prediction market odds offer a different perspective than those found at traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks incorporate a 'vig' or commission into their odds, ensuring a profit margin, while prediction markets aim to reflect the collective wisdom of the crowd. This can lead to discrepancies, with this market potentially offering more favorable odds depending on how information is perceived by traders. It’s common to see prediction markets react more quickly to new information or shifts in sentiment than sportsbooks, as the pricing is continuously updated by user activity.

As more shares are purchased for a particular outcome, its price increases, reflecting a higher implied probability. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price movements are driven by supply and demand, with traders adjusting their positions based on new information, analysis, and their own predictions. The current price reflects the collective assessment of all participants in this market.
