Typically, prediction market odds reflect a wisdom-of-the-crowd approach, often differing from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own models and incorporate a profit margin, while this market represents the aggregated beliefs of informed traders. If a significant discrepancy exists, arbitrage opportunities may arise, where traders can profit by betting on both platforms. However, it’s important to note that prediction markets often incorporate information and analysis faster than sportsbooks, potentially leading to more accurate probabilities as the event approaches.
