Prediction market odds often differ from those offered by traditional sportsbooks, reflecting the wisdom of the crowd versus the assessments of professional oddsmakers. Sportsbooks set initial lines based on statistical models and expert analysis, while this market allows anyone to express their belief about the likelihood of a particular outcome. If a significant number of traders believe a sportsbook has mispriced the event, the odds here will move accordingly, potentially offering a different value than what is available elsewhere. It's a useful comparison point for informed bettors.
