Prediction market odds often reflect the collective wisdom of a diverse group of traders, potentially differing from those set by sportsbooks. Sportsbooks establish lines based on statistical models and their own risk assessment, while this market aggregates predictions from individuals with varying levels of expertise. Discrepancies can arise due to differing information, biases, or simply a different interpretation of the players' capabilities. It’s common to see prediction markets move independently of sportsbook odds, especially as new information becomes available leading up to the match.
