These markets focus on predicting whether either team will achieve specific sack thresholds during their upcoming football game. Sacks are counted based on official game statistics, excluding those made during two-point conversion attempts. The outcomes depend solely on the performance of each team in terms of defensive pressure during the match.
All markets resolve based on the official number of sacks recorded by either Green Bay or Detroit during the Pro Football game scheduled for October 25, 2026, with the exception that sacks during two-point conversion attempts are excluded. If the game is postponed but commences within 48 hours of its original scheduled start time, all open markets will remain active and resolve according to the final official result. Should the game fail to start within the 48-hour window, all markets will resolve to a fair price, ensuring equitable treatment for all participants. The resolution hinges strictly on the defensive performance metrics of each team regarding sacks, with no consideration given to other game events or circumstances beyond the stated conditions.
Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd, often differing from initial sportsbook lines. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own models and aim to balance action on both sides, while this market aggregates the beliefs of many individual traders. As more information becomes available – such as injury reports or weather forecasts – and as the event approaches, the odds on Kalshi may converge with or diverge from sportsbook odds. It’s common to see prediction markets more accurately forecast probabilities than traditional betting markets, especially when significant public information is available.
On Kalshi, this market is priced using a continuous double auction. Traders buy and sell contracts representing different outcomes – in this case, the number of sacks by both teams. The price of each contract reflects the market’s collective belief about the probability of that outcome occurring. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders participate and new information emerges, the prices adjust dynamically, providing a real-time assessment of expectations. The market’s depth, indicated by the bid-ask spread, shows how readily traders can enter and exit positions.
This market resolves around Oct 25, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The final number of sacks recorded during the Green Bay Packers versus Detroit Lions game will determine the winning contracts. The official game statistics, as reported by a recognized sports data provider, will be used to establish the final result. Traders holding contracts corresponding to the actual number of sacks will be paid out according to the market’s pricing at resolution.
Several factors could significantly influence this market. Injury reports concerning key offensive linemen for either team would be a major catalyst, as they directly impact pass protection and the likelihood of sacks. Unexpected weather conditions, such as high winds or heavy rain, could also affect the game’s dynamics and sack totals. Major news regarding coaching strategies or defensive schemes could also shift expectations. Finally, any significant shifts in public sentiment, reflected in media coverage or social media, could drive trading activity and move the price of contracts on Kalshi.
