Frequently asked questions

Generally, prediction market odds often reflect a ‘wisdom of the crowd’ perspective, potentially differing from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks establish lines based on their own models and aim to balance action on both sides, incorporating a profit margin. This market, however, allows traders to freely express their beliefs, which can lead to odds that are more accurate or reveal different insights than those offered by sportsbooks. Discrepancies can arise due to varying information sources, differing levels of expertise among participants, and the incentive structures of each venue.

On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing different outcomes. The price of a share directly reflects the probability of that outcome occurring, as perceived by the market participants. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders participate and new information becomes available, the price fluctuates to reflect the collective assessment of the event's likelihood. This dynamic pricing ensures the market remains responsive to changing conditions and provides a real-time estimate of the potential result of the Grazer AK vs. Salzburg second half.

This market resolves around Oct 10, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The result will be determined by the actual outcome of the second half of the Grazer AK vs. FC Salzburg match. Specifically, the market will assess which team performed better during the second 45-minute period, or if the result is a draw. The resolution will be based on official match data and will be verified against established sports reporting sources to ensure accuracy and transparency.

Several factors could influence trading activity in this market before Oct 10, 2026. Any news regarding player injuries, team formations, or changes in coaching strategies for either Grazer AK or Salzburg could significantly impact the perceived probabilities.
