Frequently asked questions

Prediction market odds often reflect the wisdom of the crowd, potentially differing from those offered by traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own analysis and aim to balance action on both sides, while this market allows anyone to express their belief about the outcome. If there's significant disagreement between the two, it could indicate an opportunity for arbitrage – betting on Polymarket and hedging on a sportsbook (or vice versa). It’s common to see prediction markets move faster to incorporate new information than sportsbooks, especially in response to breaking news or shifts in public opinion.

On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism. Traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in the probability of each outcome. As more shares are bought for a particular outcome, its price increases, reflecting a higher perceived chance of occurring. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price of a share directly corresponds to the implied probability – a share priced at 50 means the market believes there’s a 50% chance of that outcome. This dynamic pricing ensures the market reflects the collective intelligence of all participants.

This market resolves around Oct 13, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The resolution will be based on the official result of the Grabovoy vs. Scofari match as reported by recognized sports authorities. The platform will verify the result against publicly available data to determine the winning outcome and distribute payouts to those who correctly predicted the result. Traders should monitor official sources for the final result as the resolution date approaches.

Several factors could influence the price of shares in this market. Any news regarding the players' form, injuries, or changes in their training regimes could significantly shift expectations. Unexpected announcements about the match schedule or venue could also cause movement. Public sentiment, as reflected in social media and sports news, can also play a role, especially if there’s a clear shift in opinion regarding who is favored to win. Major upsets in other related matches could also influence traders’ perceptions and cause price fluctuations.
