Frequently asked questions

Prediction market odds often reflect the collective wisdom of a diverse group of traders, potentially offering a different perspective than traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbook odds are typically set by a small team of experts, while this market’s pricing is determined by many individuals actively trading. This can lead to discrepancies, especially when public sentiment differs from expert analysis. It's common to see prediction markets incorporate information and react to news faster than sportsbooks, though both aim to accurately forecast the most likely outcome.

On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in the probability of each outcome. The price of a share directly corresponds to the implied probability of that outcome occurring. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders buy shares in a particular outcome, its price increases, reflecting growing confidence. Conversely, selling pressure lowers the price. This dynamic process ensures the market price reflects the aggregated beliefs of all participants.

This market resolves around Oct 30, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The resolution will be based on which team is officially recorded as scoring the first goal in the Gornik Zabrze vs. Legia Warszawa match. Any potential disputes will be evaluated based on official match data and rulings. The market will then settle, and traders will receive payouts based on their holdings in the winning outcome.

Several factors could influence the price of this market. Late-breaking news regarding key player injuries or suspensions for either Gornik Zabrze or Legia Warszawa would likely cause significant movement. Changes in team form, tactical adjustments announced by the managers, or even weather conditions on match day could all impact trader sentiment. Unexpected news related to team morale or internal conflicts could also shift the odds, as traders react to any information that alters their assessment of each team's chances.
