This set of markets tracks how many points Georgia and Alabama score together in the final quarter of their college football matchup. Each market has a different threshold, determining whether the combined score exceeds that specific number.
All markets resolve based on the total points scored by both teams during the 4th quarter (excluding overtime) of the Georgia vs Alabama college football game scheduled for Oct 10, 2026. For each market, if the combined score exceeds the specified threshold, it resolves to Yes; otherwise, it resolves to No. If the game is postponed but starts within 48 hours of the original time, the markets remain open and resolve based on the final result. If the game does not start within 48 hours, all markets resolve to a fair price. Only points scored in the 4th quarter count, and overtime points are excluded from all calculations.
Often, prediction market odds offer a different perspective than those found at sportsbooks. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and incorporate a profit margin, while this market reflects the collective wisdom of traders who are incentivized to be accurate. If a significant discrepancy exists between the implied probability on Kalshi and sportsbook odds, it could indicate that the market believes the sportsbook is mispricing the event. It’s important to remember that both represent probabilities, but are derived through different mechanisms and motivations.
On Kalshi, this market is priced using a continuous double auction. Traders buy and sell contracts representing the outcome of the Georgia-Alabama 4th quarter total. As more traders buy contracts, the price increases, indicating a higher probability of the 'over' occurring. Conversely, selling contracts drives the price down. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price fluctuates based on supply and demand, and reflects the aggregate belief of all participants. This dynamic pricing mechanism aims to provide a real-time assessment of the event's likelihood.
This market resolves around Oct 11, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the final score of the 4th quarter of the Georgia versus Alabama game is verifiable from credible public reporting. The market will settle to 100 if the total points scored in the 4th quarter are greater than the market’s closing price, and to 0 otherwise. The final settlement will be based on official game statistics, ensuring a transparent and verifiable result. Traders should monitor official sources for the game's final score to understand the resolution.
Several factors could influence the price of this market leading up to game time. Any news regarding key player injuries for either Georgia or Alabama would likely cause significant movement. Changes in weather forecasts, particularly if they suggest a high-scoring or low-scoring game, could also impact trading activity. Even late-breaking news about coaching strategies or team morale could shift opinions. As the game approaches, increased media coverage and public discussion will likely contribute to greater volume and price volatility.
