This market focuses on determining which team will score more points in the second half of an upcoming college football game between Georgia and Alabama. It specifically tracks performance from halftime onward, including any overtime periods, to decide the outcome.
The market resolves based on which team scores more points in the second half (including overtime) of the designated Georgia vs. Alabama college football game. If Alabama scores more second-half points, its market resolves to Yes. If Georgia scores more second-half points, its market resolves to Yes. If both teams score an equal number of points in the second half, the Tie market resolves to Yes. Postponements are handled such that if the game starts within 48 hours of its original time, the market remains open and resolves based on the official result. If the game does not start within 48 hours of the scheduled time, the market resolves to a fair price. All markets are independent and resolve according to these conditions, with no official affiliation to the governing league.
Prediction market odds often reflect the wisdom of the crowd, potentially differing from sportsbook odds which can be influenced by factors like house bias or initial public perception. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action, while this market’s price is driven purely by individuals willing to buy or sell based on their own analysis. If a significant discrepancy exists between this market and sportsbook odds, it may indicate an opportunity for arbitrage, where traders can profit by simultaneously betting on both venues. However, it’s important to remember that both represent probabilities, and neither guarantees the actual outcome of the game.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through a continuous double auction, meaning traders directly bid to buy or offer to sell contracts representing the probability of each outcome. The price of a contract ranges from 0 to 100, representing the implied probability of that outcome occurring. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders participate, the price fluctuates based on supply and demand, ultimately reflecting the collective belief of the market participants. Higher demand for a particular outcome will drive its price up, while increased selling pressure will lower it. The current price reflects the aggregated assessment of all traders on Kalshi.
This market resolves around Oct 11, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting.
