Prices on Polymarket and Kalshi for the Georgia-Alabama football game can diverge due to several factors. Polymarket and Kalshi can show different implied probabilities for the same outcome because of liquidity, fee structure, participant mix, and how each venue defines the contract. Each platform has its own user base, trading dynamics, and fee structure, all of which can influence price discovery. Differences in liquidity—the amount of volume available—can also lead to price discrepancies. Furthermore, the specific markets offered on each platform may not be identical; for example, one might focus on the total score while the other focuses on the first-half result. These variations contribute to differing probabilities reflected in the prices.
