These markets track the total points scored by both teams in the first quarter of an upcoming college football game. Each market has a different threshold for the total points needed to resolve as 'Yes'.
All markets resolve based on the total points scored by both teams in the first quarter of the Georgia vs Alabama college football game scheduled for October 10, 2026. For each market, if the combined score exceeds the specified threshold (e.g., 2.5, 5.5, 7.5 points, etc.), the market resolves to 'Yes'; otherwise, it resolves to 'No'. Only points scored during the first quarter count. If the game is postponed but starts within 48 hours of the original time, the market remains open and resolves based on the official result. If the game does not start within 48 hours, all markets resolve to a fair price. Kalshi is not affiliated with the NCAA, and all trademarks remain the property of their respective owners.
Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd and can differ from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks often set initial lines to balance action, while this market’s prices are driven purely by supply and demand among traders expressing their beliefs about the outcome. It's common to see discrepancies, especially before significant events or news breaks. These differences can present opportunities for informed traders who believe the market is mispricing the probability of a particular result. Analyzing both sources can provide a more comprehensive view.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through a continuous order book where traders buy and sell contracts representing different possible outcomes for the total points scored in the first quarter. The price of each contract reflects the market’s assessment of its probability. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders buy contracts for a specific outcome, the price increases, indicating a higher perceived probability. Conversely, selling pressure drives prices down. This dynamic pricing mechanism ensures that the market reflects the collective intelligence of all participants.
This market resolves around Oct 11, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The final score of the first quarter between Georgia and Alabama will be used to determine the winning contracts. The resolution will be based on the official game statistics as reported by a trusted sports data source. Traders holding contracts corresponding to the actual total points scored in the first quarter will receive a payout of $1 per contract.
Several factors could influence the price of this market before resolution. Any news regarding key player injuries for either Georgia or Alabama would likely have a significant impact. Changes in weather forecasts, particularly if they suggest conditions favorable to one team's style of play, could also shift the market. Furthermore, late-breaking news about coaching strategies or team morale could affect trader sentiment. Even public polling data or expert analysis, if widely circulated, might cause price fluctuations in this market.
