This set of markets tracks the total points scored by both teams in an upcoming college football game. Each market corresponds to a different threshold of points, allowing participants to speculate on whether the combined score will exceed various benchmarks.
All markets resolve based on the total points scored by both teams in the Georgia St. vs Appalachian St. college football game scheduled for November 7, 2026. If the collective score exceeds the specified threshold for a given market, it resolves to Yes; otherwise, it resolves to No. For games postponed but starting within 48 hours of the original time, markets remain open and resolve according to the final result. If a game does not start within 48 hours of its scheduled time, all markets resolve to a fair price. Kalshi explicitly states it is not affiliated with the NCAA, and all trademarks remain the property of their respective owners.
Prediction market odds often reflect the wisdom of the crowd, potentially differing from sportsbook odds which can be influenced by factors like house bias or initial public perception. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action, while this market’s price is purely driven by individuals willing to buy or sell based on their own analysis. If a significant discrepancy exists, it may indicate that the market believes a different outcome is more probable than sportsbooks do, or that arbitrage opportunities are present. Keep in mind that both represent probabilities, but are formed through different mechanisms.
On Kalshi, this market is priced using a continuous double auction. Traders buy and sell contracts representing different total point outcomes for the game. The price of each contract reflects the market’s collective belief about the probability of that outcome occurring. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders participate, the prices adjust to reflect new information and opinions. This means the price isn't set by a bookmaker, but emerges from the interactions of many individuals, creating a dynamic and potentially more accurate forecast.
This market resolves around Nov 7, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the final score of the Georgia St. vs Appalachian St. game is verifiable from credible public reporting. The total points scored by both teams will be used to determine which contracts settle at 100, and which settle at 0. The resolution will reflect the official result as reported by the governing sports body, ensuring a clear and objective outcome for all participants in this market.
Several factors could influence the price of this market. Late-breaking news regarding key player injuries for either Georgia St. or Appalachian St. would likely cause significant movement. Changes in weather forecasts, particularly if they suggest conditions favorable to a high- or low-scoring game, could also impact trading activity. Unexpected announcements about coaching strategies or team dynamics might also shift the market's perception of the likely total points scored. Public sentiment and analysis from sports commentators could also play a role.
