PredictionHero - Resolution Divergence Alerts (RDA)

Divergence Detected

Issue: Kalshi defines a win for either team as a 'Yes' resolution, while Polymarket requires a definitively determined winner before resolving.Hero tip: Be cautious trading on Kalshi, as a cancellation or abandonment will likely result in a 'Yes' resolution despite no actual winner being declared. Polymarket offers a more standard win/no-result structure.

Critical divergence points:

  • Polymarket: Resolves based on a definitively determined winner before abandonment, or 50-50 if canceled/abandoned. "If this market's outcome was definitively determined under its rules by the listed resolution sources before abandonment, that outcome will stand."
  • Kalshi: Resolves to 'Yes' if either team wins the game. "If West Virginia wins...then the market resolves to Yes. If George Washington wins...then the market resolves to Yes."
Our PredictionHero Resolution Divergence Alerts (RDA) are there to help users identify potential differences across platforms. They do not replace or supersede the official rules and description of any prediction market.
