Sportsbooks set lines based on their own models and to balance action, while this market is driven by traders who are incentivized to accurately predict the outcome. Discrepancies can arise due to differing information, biases, or simply the dynamics of each market. It’s common to see prediction markets incorporate information faster than sportsbooks, especially when new developments occur that aren’t immediately reflected in traditional odds. Analyzing these differences can be a valuable exercise for informed decision-making.
