Sportsbooks may incorporate factors like public bias or promotional offers into their lines, while this market aggregates the informed opinions of individual traders. If sportsbook odds heavily favor one outcome, but this market shows a more distributed probability, it could indicate disagreement or a belief among traders that the sportsbook is mispricing the event. It’s important to remember that both represent probabilities, but are derived through different mechanisms and may appeal to different types of bettors.
