Frequently asked questions

Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd and can differ from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks often set initial lines based on expert analysis and incorporate a profit margin, whereas this market’s pricing is driven by traders directly expressing their beliefs about the likelihood of each outcome. If a significant discrepancy exists between prediction market probabilities and sportsbook odds, it could indicate that the market perceives information differently or that one venue has a more informed participant base. It’s a useful exercise to compare the two to assess where value might lie.

On Limitless, this market is priced through a continuous order book where traders can buy and sell contracts representing their belief in each team’s probability of winning. The price of each contract fluctuates based on supply and demand, effectively creating a real-time probability assessment. On Limitless, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. This means that as more traders bet on G2, the price of a G2 win contract will increase, and the price of a Natus Vincere win contract will decrease, and vice versa. The current implied probabilities are determined by these constantly shifting prices.

This market resolves around Oct 4, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the winner of Map 1 in the G2 versus Natus Vincere match is verifiable from credible public reporting. The result will be based on the official game results as reported by the tournament organizers. The platform will then determine the winning contract and distribute payouts accordingly. Traders should monitor official sources for the final result to understand when this market is officially settled.

Several factors could influence the trading activity in this market. Unexpected news regarding player form, such as a key player being injured or performing exceptionally well in practice, could shift sentiment. In-game strategies revealed during the match, or even subtle changes in team compositions, could also impact trader behavior. Major upsets in other concurrent matches might also cause traders to reassess their probabilities. Finally, any significant public statements from team members or analysts could contribute to price movements in this market.
