This market focuses on predicting whether specific esports teams will achieve a designated number of champion kills in the first game of a professional League of Legends match. The outcome depends on the performance of each team during the scheduled gameplay, with resolution based on official statistics from the match.
The event resolves based on the official champion kill statistics recorded during game 1 of the Worlds 2026 match between G2 Esports and Hanwha Life Esports, scheduled for October 30, 2026, at 7:00 PM EDT. If the match is postponed beyond 48 hours of its scheduled start time, cancelled before any relevant statistics are published, or forfeited before any play occurs, the market resolves to the last fair price. If the match begins and is later forfeited, shortened, or replayed, resolution is determined by the officially recorded statistics up to the point of interruption, provided they are not voided by the governing body. Statistics from any voided or unofficial portions of the match will not count toward resolution.
Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd and can differ from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks often set initial lines based on expert analysis and incorporate a margin for profit, while this market allows anyone to trade and express their own view. If a significant number of traders believe a sportsbook’s line is inaccurate, the price in this market will move to reflect that collective belief. Discrepancies can arise due to differing information, biases, or simply the dynamic nature of prediction markets as new information becomes available.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through a continuous order book where traders buy and sell contracts representing different possible outcomes for the total kills in Game 1. The price of each contract fluctuates based on supply and demand, reflecting the collective predictions of all participants. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. Traders aim to profit by accurately predicting the outcome and capitalizing on price discrepancies. The current price indicates the market's assessment of the probability of each outcome, with higher prices suggesting a greater likelihood.
This market resolves around Oct 31, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The total number of kills scored by both G2 Esports and Hanwha Life Esports in Game 1 of their match will be used to determine the winning outcome. The resolution will be based on official game statistics reported by the League of Legends esports event organizers, ensuring a transparent and verifiable result for all traders participating in this market.
Several factors could influence the price of this market before resolution. Any news regarding player form, team strategies, or potential roster changes for either G2 Esports or Hanwha Life Esports could shift trader sentiment. In-game performance during other matches leading up to this event, or even early game events in other matches on the same day, might also impact predictions. Unexpected announcements about the game itself, such as patch updates or rule changes, could also cause significant movement in this market.
