Description

This market refers to the LoL match between G2 Esports and Dplus KIA in the Worlds Group Stage, initially scheduled for October 23, 2026 UTC. This market will resolve to "G2 Esports" if G2 Esports win the match against Dplus KIA. This market will resolve to "Dplus KIA" if Dplus KIA win the match against G2 Esports. If the match is canceled (not played at all) or ends in a tie, this market will resolve to 50-50. If the match is postponed, it must be rescheduled to a start time on or before November 6, 2026, 23:59 UTC (14 calendar days after the originally scheduled start of October 23, 2026 UTC). If, by that deadline, the most recently announced rescheduled start time is on or before the deadline, this market resolves based on the result of the match as played. Otherwise, this market resolves 50-50, regardless of whether the match is subsequently played. If the match begins but is not completed, and one team wins due to the opponent's forfeiture, disqualification, or walkover, this market will resolve to the team who wins. If the match ends in a forfeit, disqualification, or walkover (team withdraws before the start and the other wins automatically), this market will resolve to 50-50. In cases where a team’s listed name includes minor discrepancies from the resolution source, or the team is renamed or rebranded, this market will resolve based on the underlying real-world match rather than exact name matching. Recognizable abbreviations, alternate or erroneous spellings, sponsor tags, affiliate or academy designations, regional identifiers, and minor formatting differences will be treated as referring to the same team, provided the intended team can be clearly and uniquely identified within the relevant competition. If a listed team name has no reasonable connection to any participating team, or if it matches or could reasonably refer to another team in the same competition such that the intended team cannot be unambiguously determined, this market will resolve 50-50.

Frequently asked questions

Often, prediction market odds offer a different perspective than those found at sportsbooks. Sportsbooks typically incorporate a 'vig' or commission into their odds, aiming to profit regardless of the outcome. This market, however, represents the collective wisdom of traders who are incentivized to accurately predict the result. While sportsbooks may initially set odds based on expert analysis, this market can quickly adjust as new information emerges and more traders participate. Discrepancies can arise due to differing opinions, information advantages, or simply the dynamics of supply and demand within the prediction market.

On Limitless, this market is priced through a continuous order book where traders can buy and sell contracts representing their belief in the outcome. The price of each contract fluctuates based on supply and demand, reflecting the collective probability assigned to that outcome by the traders. On Limitless, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders buy contracts for a specific outcome, the price increases, indicating a higher perceived chance of success. Conversely, increased selling pressure lowers the price. This dynamic pricing mechanism ensures that the market odds continuously adapt to new information and changing sentiment.

This market resolves around Oct 24, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. Resolution will be based on the official results of the G2 Esports versus Dplus KIA match in the League of Legends Worlds tournament. The platform will verify the results against widely available and trusted sources to determine the winning team. Traders holding contracts for the correct outcome will be paid out according to the final market price at the time of resolution. It's important to monitor the event closely as the resolution date approaches.

Several factors could influence this market before the Oct 24, 2026 resolution date. Any news regarding player form, team strategies, or unexpected roster changes could significantly shift trader sentiment. Major upsets in other matches within the tournament could also impact perceptions of team strength and influence trading activity. Furthermore, announcements about potential rule changes or adjustments to the game itself could introduce new variables and affect the perceived probabilities. Monitoring esports news and analysis will be crucial for understanding potential catalysts that could move this market.
