This market focuses on the outcome of the second map in an upcoming professional Valorant match between two top esports teams. The result depends solely on which team secures the victory on that specific map. Various scenarios such as postponements, cancellations, or forfeitures have specific resolution protocols.
The market resolves based on which team wins the second map in the scheduled VCT Champions 2026 Valorant match between G2 Esports and 100 Thieves on October 8, 2026, at 5:00 AM EDT. If G2 Esports wins map 2, its corresponding market resolves to Yes, and the 100 Thieves market resolves to No, and vice versa. If the match or map is postponed beyond 48 hours, cancelled, or forfeited before play begins, both markets resolve to the fair market price. If a map begins and is later forfeited, the market resolves according to the official result declared by the tournament organizer. Kalshi is not affiliated with the governing league, and all trademarks belong to their respective owners.
Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd and can differ from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks often set initial lines based on expert analysis and may incorporate a margin for profit, while this market allows anyone to trade on their beliefs. If a significant number of traders believe a sportsbook is mispricing an outcome, they can take the opposite position in this market, driving the odds closer to what they perceive as the true probability. It’s common to see discrepancies, especially before substantial trading volume occurs.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through a continuous order book where traders buy and sell contracts representing potential outcomes. The price of a contract reflects the market’s collective assessment of the probability of that outcome occurring. Traders set the odds by placing bids and asks, and the market clears at the best available prices. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price movement is driven by supply and demand, meaning that if more people want to buy a contract (indicating belief in that outcome), the price will rise, and vice versa. This dynamic pricing mechanism aims to provide a real-time probability assessment.
This market resolves around Oct 8, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. Resolution will be based on the official result of Map 2 in the G2 Esports versus 100 Thieves CS2 match. The winning team of Map 2 will determine the outcome of this market. Any disputes regarding the official result will be addressed based on publicly available information and established competitive gaming standards. Traders should monitor official sources for the final result and subsequent market settlement.
Several signals could influence this market before resolution. Any news regarding player form, team strategies, or unexpected roster changes for either G2 Esports or 100 Thieves could significantly impact trading activity. Major upsets in other concurrent matches or broader trends in the CS2 competitive scene might also shift market sentiment. Furthermore, large trades by influential traders on Kalshi could create short-term price fluctuations. Monitoring social media and esports news sources for updates on both teams is advisable for those tracking this market.
