In the upcoming match between Fulham FC and Newcastle United FC, scheduled for November 7, 2026 at 10:00 AM ET: This market will resolve to "Fulham FC" if Fulham FC are the first to score in the second half (second half of regular play plus second-half stoppage time). This market will resolve to "Newcastle United FC" if Newcastle United FC are the first to score in the second half (second half of regular play plus second-half stoppage time). If neither team scores in the second half (second half of regular play plus second-half stoppage time), this market will resolve to "Neither". If the game is postponed, this market will remain open until the game has been completed. If the game is canceled entirely, with no make-up game, this market will resolve to "Neither". This market refers only to goals scored within the second half of regular play plus second-half stoppage time. First-half goals, extra time, and penalty shoot-outs are excluded. Recognizable abbreviations, alternate or erroneous spellings, sponsor names, regional identifiers, and minor formatting differences in a team's or player's name will not affect resolution, provided the intended team or player can be clearly and uniquely identified as a participant in the listed fixture or competition. If a listed name has no reasonable connection to any participant, or could reasonably refer to more than one participant such that the intended team or player cannot be determined, this market will resolve as it would if the listed fixture had been canceled entirely; a listed participant who cannot be identified does not count as inactive or absent. The primary resolution source for this market will be official match information from Premier League (https://www.premierleague.com/). If the governing body or event organizers have not published final statistics within 2 hours of the event's conclusion, data from Flashscore may be used; if Flashscore data is unavailable, data from Sofascore may be used; if neither is available, a consensus of credible reporting may be used. Revisions to officially declared final scores made after market resolution will not be accounted for in determining the outcome. If no acceptable data is available within 24 hours of the event's conclusion, this market will resolve 50-50, or to "Draw" where applicable.

Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd, often differing from initial sportsbook offerings. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own models and need to account for profit margins, while this market is driven purely by traders’ beliefs about the likelihood of each outcome. If a significant number of traders believe a sportsbook is undervaluing a particular team’s chance to score first in the second half, the odds on Polymarket will adjust accordingly, potentially offering a more accurate representation of the true probability. It's common to see discrepancies, especially before the event begins.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism. Traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in whether Fulham or Newcastle will score first in the second half. As more shares are purchased for one outcome, its price increases, while the price of the other outcome decreases. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price of a share directly reflects the implied probability of that outcome occurring, making it a dynamic and real-time assessment of expectations. The current implied probability of Fulham scoring first is 47.0%.
This market resolves around Nov 7, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. Specifically, the market will determine which team scores the first goal in the second half of the Fulham vs. Newcastle match. The result will be based on official match data and verified against credible public sources, ensuring an objective and accurate determination of the winning outcome. Traders will then be able to claim their winnings based on the final result.
Several factors could influence trading activity and shift the odds in this market. Late-breaking news regarding player injuries or suspensions for either Fulham or Newcastle could significantly impact expectations. Changes in team form, tactical adjustments announced by the managers, or even weather conditions on match day could all play a role. Unexpected pre-match analysis from reputable sports commentators could also sway trader sentiment, leading to increased volume and price fluctuations as traders react to new information before Nov 7, 2026.
