Frequently asked questions

Comparing prediction market odds to sportsbook odds reveals how collective intelligence differs from traditional oddsmaking. Often, prediction markets, like this one, can offer more accurate probabilities, especially when there's significant information available or a degree of uncertainty. Sportsbooks may initially set odds based on team statistics and expert opinions, but this market incorporates the wisdom of the crowd, potentially adjusting for factors sportsbooks miss. Discrepancies can arise due to differing risk assessments and the incentives of each type of market participant.

On Limitless, this market is priced through a continuous order book where traders buy and sell contracts representing the outcome. The price of a contract reflects the market's probability of that outcome occurring. As more traders buy 'yes' contracts (Fulham and Hull City have 11 or more total corners?), the price increases, indicating a higher perceived probability. On Limitless, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The platform uses a standard market-making mechanism, allowing traders to set their own bids and asks, and the market price converges based on supply and demand. The current price reflects the aggregate assessment of all traders.

This market resolves around Oct 18, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. Specifically, the official match statistics will be used to determine the total number of corners taken during the Fulham versus Hull City match. If 11 or more corners are recorded, the 'yes' outcome will be validated; otherwise, the 'no' outcome will prevail. The resolution will be based on the official data released by the governing football league and verified by the platform.

Several signals could influence this market before resolution. Late-breaking news regarding key player injuries for either Fulham or Hull City could significantly alter expectations about the match's flow and, consequently, the number of corners. Changes in weather conditions, such as strong winds, could also impact the style of play and corner frequency. Additionally, any tactical adjustments announced by either manager, particularly those focused on attacking or defensive strategies, might shift the market. Finally, public sentiment and large trades on Limitless can also cause movement.
