Frequently asked questions

Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd, often incorporating information and analysis faster than traditional sportsbooks. While sportsbooks set initial lines based on statistical models and expert opinions, this market allows anyone to trade on their beliefs, potentially leading to odds that more accurately represent the true probability of an event. However, discrepancies can occur due to differing market participants, risk appetites, and the influence of large bets. It's common to see some divergence, especially in less liquid markets.

On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in the likelihood of each outcome. The price of a share directly corresponds to the implied probability of that outcome occurring. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders participate and new information emerges, the prices adjust to reflect the collective assessment of the event's potential results. The current price reflects the aggregated predictions of all participants on Polymarket.

This market resolves around Nov 1, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. Specifically, the resolution will be based on which team scores the first goal in the second half of the Frosinone Calcio versus Torino FC match. The result will be determined by official match data and verified against credible public sources. The market will then settle, and shares will be redeemed based on the final outcome.

Several factors could influence this market before resolution. Any news regarding team injuries, suspensions, or changes in starting lineups for either Frosinone Calcio or Torino FC would likely cause price fluctuations. Additionally, real-time game events during the first half, such as red cards or early goals, could significantly shift the perceived probabilities. Weather conditions and tactical adjustments made by the managers could also play a role, as could any late-breaking news impacting team morale or performance.
