These markets track the total points scored by both teams in the second half of a college football game, including any overtime periods. Each market has a different threshold for the total points needed to resolve as 'Yes'.
All markets resolve based on the total points scored by both teams in the second half (including overtime) of the Fresno St. vs Washington St. college football game scheduled for Oct 3, 2026. Each market has a specific threshold: if the combined second-half points exceed the threshold, the market resolves to Yes; otherwise, it resolves to No. For all markets, only points scored in the second half count. If the game is postponed but starts within 48 hours of the original time, trading remains open and resolves based on the final result. If the game does not start within 48 hours, all markets resolve to a fair price. Kalshi is not affiliated with the NCAA, and all trademarks remain property of their respective owners.
Generally, prediction market odds often reflect a wisdom-of-the-crowd perspective, potentially differing from those set by sportsbooks. Sportsbooks establish lines based on their own models and aim to balance action on both sides, incorporating a profit margin. This market, however, is driven by individuals trading based on their own analysis and information. While sportsbooks may initially set the odds, the collective trading activity on Kalshi can reveal different probabilities as new information emerges, potentially indicating where the crowd sees value that sportsbooks might have missed.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through a continuous order book where buyers and sellers set the price of contracts. Each contract represents a potential total score for the second half of the Fresno State vs. Washington State game. Traders can buy 'yes' contracts if they believe the total will be above a certain number, or sell 'no' contracts if they believe it will be below. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price of these contracts fluctuates based on supply and demand, reflecting the collective prediction of the market participants. As more traders participate, the price converges towards what the market believes is the most likely outcome.
This market resolves around Oct 4, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The final total points scored in the second half of the Fresno State vs. Washington State game will be used to determine which contracts payout. Contracts predicting a total score that is equal to or above the specified threshold will pay out $1.00, while those predicting a lower total will expire worthless. The resolution will be based on official game statistics.
Several factors could influence trading activity in this market. Late-breaking news regarding key player injuries for either Fresno State or Washington State would likely have a significant impact. Changes in weather conditions, particularly if they are expected to affect scoring, could also move the market. Even public sentiment, reflected in social media or expert analysis, can influence traders’ decisions. Furthermore, any significant shifts in betting lines at sportsbooks might prompt traders on Kalshi to reassess their positions, leading to price fluctuations.
