All markets will settle based on the official final result as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. Revisions to officially declared final scores made after market resolution will not be accounted for in determining the outcome. If no acceptable data is available within 24 hours of the event's conclusion, this market will resolve 50-50, or to "Draw" where applicable.

Generally, prediction market odds often reflect the wisdom of the crowd, potentially offering a different perspective than traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks set odds based on their own models and aim to profit, while this market aggregates the beliefs of many individual traders. It’s common to see discrepancies, especially before significant events or when public opinion shifts. Comparing the probabilities implied by this market to those offered by sportsbooks can be a useful exercise for informed decision-making, but remember that each represents a different form of forecasting.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous trading mechanism where users buy and sell shares representing their belief in the probability of each exact score. The price of a share directly corresponds to the implied probability of that outcome. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders buy shares in a particular outcome, its price increases, reflecting a growing belief in its likelihood. Conversely, selling pressure lowers the price. The market efficiently incorporates new information as it becomes available, adjusting probabilities in real-time based on trader activity.
This market resolves around Oct 25, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The final result of the Fortuna Sittard vs. Excelsior match – the exact score – will be used to determine which outcome wins.
