Often, prediction market odds reflect a different perspective than traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and incorporate a profit margin, while this market represents the collective wisdom of traders. If a significant discrepancy exists between the two, it could indicate that prediction market participants believe the sportsbook is mispricing the event. However, it’s important to remember that both represent probabilities based on different methodologies and information sources, and neither is guaranteed to be accurate.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in the outcome. The price of a share directly corresponds to the implied probability of that outcome occurring. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders participate and new information becomes available, the price adjusts to reflect the evolving consensus. The market’s price is determined solely by supply and demand within Polymarket.
This market resolves around Oct 26, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The resolution will be based on the official result of the Kenta Miyoshi vs Sander Jong match in Fort Worth. Any news regarding the players' form, potential injuries, or changes in their training regimes could shift trader sentiment.
