Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd and can differ from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks often set initial lines based on their own analysis and may adjust them based on betting action, while this market allows anyone to express their belief about the outcome. If sportsbooks heavily favor one competitor, this market might show a more nuanced view if a significant number of traders believe the other competitor has a reasonable chance of winning. Discrepancies can arise due to differing information, biases, or simply varying interpretations of the event's likely outcome.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in the probability of a particular outcome. The price of a share directly corresponds to the implied probability of that outcome occurring. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders buy shares in a specific outcome, its price increases, reflecting growing confidence. Conversely, selling pressure drives the price down. The market efficiently aggregates information from all participants, resulting in a dynamic and real-time assessment of the event's potential results.
This market resolves around Oct 26, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The resolution will be based on the official result of the Fort Worth match between Alex Rybakov and Bor Artnak.
