Frequently asked questions

Prediction market odds often reflect the collective wisdom of a diverse group of forecasters, potentially offering a different perspective than traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own models and aim to balance action on both sides, while this market is driven purely by individuals willing to put their capital behind their beliefs. Discrepancies can arise due to differing information, analytical approaches, or simply varying levels of confidence in a particular outcome. It's common to see prediction markets react more quickly to new information than sportsbooks, especially in dynamic situations.

On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism, where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in the outcome. The price of a share directly corresponds to the implied probability of that outcome occurring. As more people buy shares in a particular result, its price increases, and vice versa. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The market’s price reflects the aggregated sentiment of all participants, creating a dynamic and responsive assessment of the potential second-half result of the Forge FC vs. Inter Toronto match.

This market resolves around Oct 12, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. Specifically, the result will be based on the official second-half result as reported by the league organizers. The market will determine which outcome – a Forge FC win, an Inter Toronto win, or a draw – occurred during the second half of the match. Resolution will occur shortly after the official result is available, ensuring timely settlement for all participants in this market.

Several factors could influence the price of this market. Any news regarding key player injuries or suspensions for either Forge FC or Inter Toronto would likely cause significant movement. Changes in weather conditions, particularly if they are expected to heavily impact the style of play, could also shift sentiment. In-game events during the first half, such as early goals or red cards, will undoubtedly have a substantial effect. Finally, any significant public information or analysis released before the second half begins could also contribute to price fluctuations.
