Divergence Detected

Issue: Kalshi's win condition includes both teams winning, while Polymarket specifies a single winner.Hero tip: Kalshi's market effectively doubles the probability of a 'Yes' outcome compared to Polymarket, as it covers both teams winning. Be mindful of this when comparing implied probabilities and potential trade opportunities.

Critical divergence points:

  • Polymarket: Resolves to 'Flyers' if Flyers win, 'Red Wings' if Red Wings win. Postponed games remain open, canceled games resolve 50-50. "If the Flyers win, the market will resolve to 'Flyers'. If the Red Wings win, the market will resolve to 'Red Wings'."
  • Kalshi: Resolves to 'Yes' if either Philadelphia or Detroit wins. "If Philadelphia wins the Philadelphia vs Detroit NHL game originally scheduled for Oct 15, 2026, then the market resolves to Yes. If Detroit wins the Philadelphia vs Detroit NHL game originally scheduled for Oct 15, 2026, then the market resolves to Yes."
Our PredictionHero Resolution Divergence Alerts (RDA) are there to help users identify potential differences across platforms. They do not replace or supersede the official rules and description of any prediction market. Users are solely responsible for reviewing and understanding the applicable rules and resolution criteria before placing any trade or bet. If you notice a potential inconsistency, discrepancy, or error in an alert, please report it to our team so we can review and improve the accuracy of our data.

Polymarket

In the upcoming NHL game, scheduled for October 15 at 7:30PM ET: If the Flyers win, the market will resolve to "Flyers". If the Red Wings win, the market will resolve to "Red Wings". If the game is postponed, this market will remain open until the game has been completed. If the game is canceled entirely, with no make-up game, this market will resolve 50-50. The result will be determined based on the final score including any overtime periods and shootouts. In the event of a shootout, one goal will be added to the winning team's score for the purpose of resolution.

Kalshi
