These markets track the point differential in the first half of an upcoming college football game between Florida and Missouri. Outcomes depend on whether Florida or Missouri achieves specific point margins during the initial 30 minutes of play.
All markets resolve based solely on points scored during the first half of the Florida vs Missouri college football game scheduled for October 3, 2026. Each market corresponds to a specific point threshold that either Florida or Missouri must exceed to achieve a 'Yes' outcome. If Florida wins by more than the designated margin listed in any of the Florida-specific markets, that market resolves to 'Yes.' Conversely, if Missouri wins by more than the margin specified in any of the Missouri-specific markets, that market resolves to 'Yes.' Should the game be postponed but commence within 48 hours of its original start time, all markets remain active and resolve according to the official first-half result. If the game fails to start within this 48-hour window, all markets resolve to a fair price, reflecting equitable settlement based on available information and circumstances.
Prediction market odds often reflect the collective wisdom of a diverse group of traders, and can sometimes differ from those offered by traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbook odds are typically set by a small team of experts, while this market benefits from the input of many participants. It’s common to see initial discrepancies, as sportsbooks may react more quickly to breaking news or injuries, whereas the prediction market may take longer to incorporate that information. However, as the event approaches, the odds on Kalshi tend to converge with those found at major sportsbooks.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through a continuous order book, meaning traders can buy and sell contracts at prices determined by supply and demand. The price of a contract represents the probability of that specific spread occurring in the first half. As more people buy contracts predicting a certain spread, the price increases, and vice versa. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. This dynamic pricing mechanism allows the market to quickly adapt to new information and reflect the evolving expectations of traders regarding the Florida vs Missouri game.
This market resolves around Oct 3, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. Specifically, the final point spread of the first half of the Florida vs Missouri game will be used to determine which contracts pay out. The official result will be sourced from established sports data providers and widely available game statistics. Traders holding contracts corresponding to the correct spread will receive a payout, while those holding contracts on incorrect spreads will not.
Several factors could influence the price of this market. Any news regarding injuries to key players on either the Florida or Missouri teams would likely have a significant impact. Changes in weather conditions, particularly if they are expected to affect the passing or running game, could also move the spread. Unexpected coaching decisions or strategic adjustments announced before the game could also shift trader sentiment. Finally, any significant public betting activity at sportsbooks could influence the price on Kalshi as traders react to the broader market.
