This set of markets focuses on predicting the outcome of the fourth quarter in an upcoming college football game between Florida and Georgia. Each market assesses different point spreads to determine which team will dominate the final quarter of play.
The markets resolve based on the point differential in the fourth quarter (excluding overtime) of the Florida vs Georgia college football game scheduled for October 31, 2026. Each market has a specific threshold for the winning margin: Georgia must win by more than 10.5, 7.5, 6.5, 3.5, or 2.5 points, or Florida must win by more than 2.5, 3.5, 6.5, 7.5, or 10.5 points during that quarter for the respective market to resolve to 'Yes.' If the game is postponed but starts within 48 hours of the original time, the markets remain open and resolve based on the official result. If the game does not start within 48 hours, the markets resolve to a fair price. Only points scored in the fourth quarter count toward these outcomes.
Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd and can differ from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own analysis and aim to balance action on both sides, while this market aggregates the opinions of numerous individual traders. As more information becomes available – such as injury reports or weather forecasts – both sets of odds will adjust, but the speed and magnitude of those adjustments can vary. It's common to see discrepancies, particularly before significant events influencing the game.
This market resolves around Oct 31, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. Specifically, the final point spread for the 4th quarter of the Florida vs Georgia game will be used to determine which contracts pay out. The resolution will be based on official game statistics, ensuring an objective and verifiable result. Traders holding contracts aligned with the actual spread will receive a payout, while those holding contracts on incorrect spreads will not.
Several factors could significantly influence this market. Any news regarding key player injuries for either Florida or Georgia would likely cause substantial movement. Changes in weather forecasts, particularly if they suggest conditions favoring one team's style of play, could also shift the spread. Unexpected coaching decisions or late-breaking news about team morale could also impact trader sentiment. As the game approaches, even seemingly minor updates can lead to adjustments in the price of contracts within this market.
