This market tracks which team will score more points in the second quarter of a college football game between Florida State and Louisville. It focuses solely on the performance during that specific quarter, ignoring the overall game result. The outcome depends entirely on the points scored in the second quarter, with special provisions for game postponements.
The market resolves based on which team scores more points during the second quarter of the Florida State vs Louisville college football game scheduled for October 9, 2026. If Louisville scores more points in that quarter, the 'Louisville' market resolves to Yes. If Florida State scores more points, the 'Florida St.' market resolves to Yes. Prediction market odds often reflect the collective wisdom of a diverse group of traders, potentially differing from those set by sportsbooks. Sportsbooks establish lines based on their own models and aim to balance action on both sides, while this market’s pricing is driven by individuals willing to put their capital at risk. This can lead to discrepancies, especially when public sentiment strongly favors one outcome, or when new information emerges that hasn’t yet been fully incorporated into sportsbook lines. Examining these differences can reveal insights into where the crowd believes value lies.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through a continuous double auction. Traders buy and sell contracts representing each possible outcome – in this case, either Florida St. or Louisville winning the 2nd quarter. The price of each contract represents the probability of that outcome occurring, as perceived by the market participants. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders participate and new information becomes available, the prices adjust dynamically, reflecting the evolving expectations of the crowd. The current price indicates what it costs to take a position on a specific team winning the 2nd quarter.
This market resolves around Oct 10, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The team leading at the end of the 2nd quarter of the Florida St. vs Louisville game will be declared the winner of this market. The resolution will be based on the official game statistics and results, as reported by a trusted sports data source. Traders will then be paid out or have their positions closed based on the final result.
Several factors could influence the price of this market before resolution. Any news regarding injuries to key players on either Florida St. or Louisville would likely cause significant movement. Changes in the weather forecast could also impact the game and, consequently, the market. Additionally, early performance in the first quarter, or even pre-game analysis suggesting a shift in strategy, could lead traders to adjust their positions. Unexpected line movements in sportsbooks could also influence trading activity in this market, as traders seek to capitalize on perceived discrepancies.
