Typically, prediction market odds reflect a different set of information and incentives than those found at sportsbooks. Sportsbooks often incorporate a 'vig' or commission into their odds, while this market allows traders to directly assess probabilities. Often, prediction markets are considered more accurate forecasters of event outcomes than traditional polls or even sportsbook lines, as they aggregate the wisdom of the crowd. However, it’s important to note that discrepancies can exist, and the relative accuracy can vary depending on the event and the information available to both types of bettors.
On Predict, this market is priced through a continuous order book where traders can buy and sell contracts representing different outcomes. The price of each contract reflects the collective belief of the traders about the probability of that outcome occurring. As more people buy contracts for a particular outcome, the price increases, and the implied probability rises. On Predict, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The market’s price dynamically adjusts based on supply and demand, providing a real-time assessment of expectations for the Florida International vs. Liberty game. This dynamic pricing mechanism is what distinguishes this market from fixed-odds betting.
This market resolves around Oct 31, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The platform will verify the result against established sports data sources to determine the winning outcome and distribute payouts accordingly. It’s important to note that the resolution process is designed to be objective and based on publicly available information, ensuring a fair and transparent outcome for all participants in this market.
