Prediction market odds often reflect the collective wisdom of a diverse group of traders, potentially offering a different perspective than traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbook odds are typically set by professional oddsmakers, while this market is driven by individuals making their own predictions and trading accordingly. Discrepancies can arise due to differing information, biases, or risk assessments. Comparing the two can be a useful exercise for informed decision-making, but it’s important to remember that both represent probabilities, not guarantees, of the final result.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in the likelihood of each exact score. The price of a share directly corresponds to the implied probability of that outcome. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders participate and new information becomes available, the prices adjust to reflect the evolving consensus. The market's depth and volume indicate the level of confidence traders have in each possible result of the Rubin Kazan vs. Krylia Sovetov match.
