Prediction market odds often reflect the collective wisdom of a diverse group of forecasters, potentially differing from sportsbook odds which may be influenced by factors like house bias or public perception. While sportsbooks set initial lines to balance betting action, this market allows traders to continuously update their assessments based on new information and analysis. It's common to see discrepancies, especially as new developments emerge leading up to the event. On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous trading mechanism where users buy and sell shares representing different exact scores. The price of each share reflects the implied probability of that score occurring, as determined by supply and demand. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders believe a particular score is likely, its price increases, and vice versa. This dynamic pricing ensures the market reflects the most up-to-date collective prediction of the match result. The current volume indicates the level of interest in various outcomes.
