Generally, prediction markets like Polymarket often reflect information and insights beyond those captured by traditional sportsbooks. While sportsbooks set odds based on statistical models and expert analysis, this market incorporates the wisdom of the crowd, allowing traders to weigh various factors, including team news, injuries, and even subtle changes in public sentiment. This can lead to differences in probabilities, as prediction markets may more quickly adjust to new information than sportsbooks. It's common to see prediction market odds diverge from sportsbook odds, especially as an event approaches.
