Generally, prediction markets like Polymarket often reflect information and insights beyond those captured by traditional sportsbooks. While sportsbooks set odds based on statistical models and expert opinions, this market incorporates the wisdom of the crowd, potentially leading to different probabilities. If sportsbook odds significantly diverge from those seen here, it could indicate disagreement about underlying factors influencing the game’s outcome. However, it’s important to remember that both represent probabilities of an event occurring, and discrepancies can arise due to differing analytical approaches and information access.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in each possible exact score. The price of a share directly corresponds to the probability of that outcome occurring, as perceived by the market participants. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders buy shares in a particular outcome, its price increases, reflecting a higher perceived probability. Conversely, selling pressure lowers the price. This dynamic pricing ensures that the market odds continuously adjust to incorporate new information and changing sentiment.
This market resolves around Oct 18, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the final score of the FK Dinamo Moskva versus PFK CSKA Moskva match is verifiable from credible public reporting. The exact score at the end of regulation time will determine the winning outcome in this market. Any extra time or penalty shootouts will not be considered. Traders holding shares in the correct exact score will be entitled to a payout based on the final market price at resolution.
Several factors could influence the price movement of this market. Any news regarding key player injuries or suspensions for either FK Dinamo Moskva or PFK CSKA Moskva would likely have a significant impact. Changes in team form, tactical adjustments announced by the managers, or even weather conditions on match day could also shift trader sentiment. Unexpected news related to team morale or internal conflicts could also move the market. Ultimately, any information that alters the perceived probability of different exact scores has the potential to influence trading activity and price fluctuations.
