Typically, prediction market odds reflect the collective wisdom of a diverse group of traders, often leading to more accurate probabilities than traditional sportsbook odds, which can be influenced by factors like house bias or public perception. However, differences can occur due to varying levels of information and market participation. Sportsbooks may also adjust their odds more quickly in response to breaking news, while this market relies on traders updating probabilities based on their analysis. It’s common to see initial discrepancies that narrow as the event approaches.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief about which team will score first. The price of a share directly reflects the probability of that outcome, as determined by supply and demand. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders believe a particular team is likely to score first, the price of shares representing that team will increase, and vice versa. This dynamic pricing ensures that the market reflects the most up-to-date collective assessment of the event's potential outcomes.
This market resolves around Oct 27, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The official match records will serve as the basis for determining the winning outcome. Any disputes regarding the official result will be addressed according to Polymarket’s standard procedures, ensuring a fair and transparent resolution process.
