Prediction market odds often reflect the collective wisdom of a diverse group of traders, potentially offering a different perspective than traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbook odds are typically set by professional oddsmakers, while this market is driven by individual predictions and trading activity. Examining these differences can be insightful, as prediction markets sometimes anticipate outcomes more accurately than traditional methods, though this isn't always the case.

On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing different possible outcomes. The price of each share reflects the market's current assessment of the probability of that outcome occurring. As more traders participate and new information becomes available, the prices adjust accordingly. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now.
