Frequently asked questions

Prediction market odds often reflect a wisdom-of-the-crowd effect, potentially differing from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks establish lines based on their own analysis and aim to balance action on both sides, incorporating a profit margin. This market, however, is driven by individuals willing to put their capital behind their beliefs. Discrepancies can arise due to differing information, biases, or simply a larger and more diverse pool of participants contributing to the prediction. It’s common to see prediction markets move faster to incorporate new information than sportsbooks.

On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous trading mechanism where users buy and sell shares representing their belief in the outcome. The price of these shares directly reflects the implied probability of each outcome. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders buy shares in a particular outcome, its price increases, and the implied probability rises. Conversely, selling pressure lowers the price and probability. This dynamic pricing ensures that the market reflects the collective intelligence of all participants, constantly adjusting to new information and insights regarding the Fedoryshyn vs. Lushchyk match.

This market resolves around Nov 2, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The resolution will be based on the official result of the Fedoryshyn vs. Lushchyk match, as reported by recognized sports authorities. The platform will verify the outcome against these sources to determine which outcome is declared the winner. Traders who correctly predicted the result will be paid out according to the final share price at the time of resolution. It’s important to monitor the official results as they become available following the match.

Several signals could influence this market before Nov 2, 2026. Any news regarding player injuries, changes in coaching strategies, or unexpected developments in the athletes’ preparation could significantly shift the odds. Public sentiment, as reflected in social media or expert analysis, might also play a role, though to a lesser extent. Major upsets in related matches or tournaments could also indirectly impact trader confidence. Ultimately, any information that alters perceptions of the likely winner of the Fedoryshyn vs. Lushchyk match has the potential to move the market.
