Frequently asked questions

Generally, prediction market odds tend to reflect the collective wisdom of a diverse group of traders, often proving more accurate than traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and ensure profit, while this market allows participants to freely express their beliefs about the outcome. Discrepancies can arise due to differing information, biases, or simply varying interpretations of team strengths and form. If significant differences emerge, arbitrage opportunities may present themselves, potentially driving the prediction market odds closer to those found at sportsbooks.

This market resolves around Oct 9, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The result will be determined by the official result of the second half of the FC Volendam versus Vitesse Arnhem football match. The platform will rely on official sources to verify the final score and determine which outcome – a win for Volendam, a win for Vitesse, or a draw – corresponds to the winning shares in this market. Traders will then be able to claim their winnings based on the verified result.

Several factors could influence the trading activity and price movement in this market. Late-breaking news regarding player injuries or suspensions for either Volendam or Vitesse could significantly shift expectations. Changes in weather conditions, particularly if they favor one team's playing style, might also impact the market. Furthermore, any significant tactical adjustments announced by the managers or unexpected changes in team form leading up to the match could cause traders to reassess their probabilities and adjust their positions accordingly, leading to fluctuations in the odds.
