In the upcoming Eredivisie game between FC Utrecht and NEC, scheduled for November 8, 2026 at 2:00 PM ET: This market will resolve based on the final score of the FC Utrecht vs. NEC match originally scheduled for November 8, 2026 at 2:00 PM ET, considering only the result at the end of 90 minutes of regulation plus stoppage time; extra time and penalty shoot-outs are excluded. If the actual score is not one of the explicitly listed outcomes, the market resolves to "Any Other Score." If the match is postponed, the market will remain open until it is completed; if it is canceled with no make-up game, the market resolves to "0-0." The primary resolution source for this market is the official statistics of the event as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. However, if the governing body or event organizers have not published final match statistics within 2 hours after the event's conclusion, data from Flashscore may be used; if Flashscore data is unavailable, data from Sofascore may be used; if neither is available, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead. All markets will settle based on the official final result as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. Revisions to officially declared final scores made after market resolution will not be accounted for in determining the outcome. If no acceptable data is available within 24 hours of the event's conclusion, this market will resolve 50-50, or to "Draw" where applicable.

Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd, often incorporating information and perspectives not fully captured by traditional sportsbooks. While sportsbooks set initial lines based on team statistics and expert analysis, this market allows anyone to trade on their beliefs, potentially leading to odds that more accurately predict the outcome. Discrepancies can arise due to differing levels of information access, biases, or simply variations in opinion. It’s common to see prediction markets react more quickly to new information than sportsbooks, especially regarding impactful events like player injuries or changes in team form.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous trading mechanism where users buy and sell shares representing their belief in each possible exact score. The price of each share directly reflects the implied probability of that outcome occurring. As more traders buy shares in a particular result, its price increases, and the implied probability rises accordingly. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The market’s price movements are driven entirely by supply and demand, with traders acting as both market makers and speculators. The current top outcome, Exact Score: FC Utrecht 0 - 1 NEC?, has a chance percentage of 50.0%.
This market resolves around Nov 8, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The final score of the FC Utrecht vs. NEC match, as officially recorded by sporting authorities, will determine the winning outcome. The resolution will be based on the official result, eliminating any ambiguity or subjective interpretation. Traders will then be able to claim their winnings based on the final score and the shares they held in the corresponding outcome.
Several factors could significantly influence this market. Any news regarding key player injuries or suspensions for either FC Utrecht or NEC would likely cause shifts in probabilities. Unexpected changes in team form, such as a surprising win or loss in a recent match, could also impact trading activity. Furthermore, weather conditions on the day of the match, particularly if they are expected to be adverse, could influence the perceived likelihood of different scorelines. Finally, any late-breaking news regarding team tactics or starting lineups could also move the market.
