The primary resolution source for this market is the official statistics of the event as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. However, if the governing body or event organizers have not published final match statistics within 2 hours after the event's conclusion, data from Flashscore may be used; if Flashscore data is unavailable, data from Sofascore may be used; if neither is available, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead. All markets will settle based on the official final result as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. Revisions to officially declared final scores made after market resolution will not be accounted for in determining the outcome. If no acceptable data is available within 24 hours of the event's conclusion, this market will resolve 50-50, or to "Draw" where applicable.

Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd, often incorporating information and analysis beyond what’s immediately available to sportsbooks. While sportsbooks set initial lines based on team statistics and expert opinions, this market allows anyone to trade based on their own insights, potentially leading to more accurate probabilities. It’s common to see differences emerge as new information becomes available, or as public sentiment shifts, and those differences can create opportunities for informed traders. However, it's important to remember that both represent probabilities of the same event occurring.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism. Traders buy and sell contracts representing different exact scores for the match, and the price of each contract reflects the current probability of that outcome. As more people buy a contract, its price increases, indicating a higher perceived chance of that score happening. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price movements are driven entirely by supply and demand within the Polymarket ecosystem, meaning the market reflects the collective beliefs of those participating on that platform.
This market resolves around Oct 31, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The final score of the FC St. Gallen 1879 versus Servette Geneva match will be used to determine the winning contract. The resolution will be based on the official result as reported by a trusted sports data source. Traders will then be able to claim their winnings or fulfill their obligations based on the final, verified score.
Several factors could influence the price of contracts in this market. Any news regarding key player injuries or suspensions for either St. Gallen or Servette would likely cause significant movement. Changes in team form, tactical adjustments, or even weather conditions leading up to the match could also impact trader sentiment. Unexpected news about the manager or ownership of either club could also shift probabilities. Furthermore, large trading volume from informed participants could signal new information or a change in expectations, driving price fluctuations.
