In the upcoming Ligue 1 game between FC Lorient and Stade Brestois 29, scheduled for October 31, 2026 at 3:45 PM ET: This market will resolve based on the halftime score of the FC Lorient vs. Stade Brestois 29 match originally scheduled for October 31, 2026 at 3:45 PM ET, considering only goals scored within the first 45 minutes of regular play plus first-half stoppage time; second-half goals, extra time, and penalty shoot-outs are excluded. If the actual halftime score is not one of the explicitly listed outcomes, the market resolves to "Any Other Score." If the match is postponed, the market will remain open until it is completed; if it is canceled with no make-up game, the market resolves to "0-0." The primary resolution source for this market is the official statistics of the event as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. However, if the governing body or event organizers have not published final match statistics within 2 hours after the event's conclusion, data from Flashscore may be used; if Flashscore data is unavailable, data from Sofascore may be used; if neither is available, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead. All markets will settle based on the official final result as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. Revisions to officially declared final scores made after market resolution will not be accounted for in determining the outcome. If no acceptable data is available within 24 hours of the event's conclusion, this market will resolve 50-50, or to "Draw" where applicable.

Often, prediction market odds reflect a different perspective than those found at traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks typically incorporate a 'vig' or commission into their odds, ensuring a profit margin, while this market allows traders to directly assess the probabilities. If a significant discrepancy exists between this market and sportsbook odds, it could indicate that prediction market participants believe the sportsbook is mispricing the event. However, it’s important to remember that both represent different forms of opinion and are subject to their own biases and information sources.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism, where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in the likelihood of each possible exact first-half score. The price of each share directly reflects the implied probability of that outcome. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders participate, the prices adjust to reflect the collective wisdom of the crowd. The market's price movements are driven by supply and demand; if many traders believe a particular score is likely, they will buy shares, driving up the price, and vice versa.
This market resolves around Nov 2, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The resolution will be based on the official, final first-half score of the FC Lorient vs. Stade Brestois 29 match. The platform will verify the result against official sources to determine the winning outcome for this market. Traders holding shares in the correct outcome will be entitled to a payout based on the final market price at the time of resolution.
Several factors could influence the price of this market before resolution. Any news regarding key player injuries or suspensions for either Lorient or Brest would likely cause significant movement. Changes in team form, tactical adjustments, or even weather conditions on match day could also impact trader sentiment. Unexpected news related to team morale or managerial decisions could also play a role. Ultimately, any information that alters perceptions of the teams' relative strengths or the likelihood of specific scoring scenarios could move this market.
