Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd, often differing from initial sportsbook offerings. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own models and aim to balance action on both sides, building in a profit margin. This market, however, is driven by individuals willing to put their capital behind their beliefs. As more information becomes available and more traders participate, the odds on Polymarket may converge with or diverge from sportsbook odds, depending on whether the crowd identifies mispricings or has access to unique information.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism. Traders buy and sell shares representing different exact scores, and the price of each share reflects the probability of that outcome occurring, as perceived by the market participants. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The market’s price fluctuates based on supply and demand; increased buying pressure on a particular outcome will raise its price, while increased selling pressure will lower it. This dynamic pricing ensures that the odds continuously adjust to incorporate new information and changing sentiment.
This market resolves around Oct 10, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the final score of the FC Kairat Almaty versus Zhetysu Taldykorgan match is verifiable from credible public reporting.
